Here’s another silhouette I’ve cut recently. This one is a portrait of the Eleventh Doctor from Doctor Who, played by Matt Smith.
I made this to give away as a prize on my FB page. It was very well liked, so I will be making more Doctor portraits in the future, as well as try to do more giveaways :D
Oh that Fez.

Here’s some fan art I did of a cute little bee character Elena Ceballos posted a couple of days ago!
I saw it and couldn’t resist drawing! Pencil and Ink on Moleskin sketchbook paper (a shame the scanner washes out the natural cream color of the paper! I’ve tried to fix that in settings, lol).

Miss Janelle Monáe— she is so wonderful! I encourage you to check out her performance of Cold War live at the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo Norway.
I love her bright face and the expressions she makes, especially in the video Tightrope. Gahh! She’s so adorable!

Here’s the current progress of the painting of Fionna and Cake I’m working on! I realized I had put it aside a little while ago, and hadn’t finished up with shading. Almost done!

I’m painting this in gouache on wood panel, and it’s a painting of this picture I originally did digitally :)

Hopefully I’ll have it done soon, so I can post the finished pic. I will most likely offer it up for sale since I don’t have room for it, and I want to pick up some more panels for future paintings. Gouache painting is a ton of fun!

Fionna and Cake were created by Natasha Allegri and eventually got their own episode of Adventure Time! I’d love to see them get another episode sometime!

Just about done the base painting. Soon to start with the shading and finishing details. Painted Gouache on wood panel :)
Forgive the lousy photo. Pic taken with an ipod lol.

Omigosh! Fionna and Cake!
I have followed Natasha Allegri on Tumblr for a little bit, and in the past few weeks, I’ve been checking out her older posts over there. Her artwork is so loose, free, and colorful! I especially love the anti-gravity going on in some of her drawings. It’s been a huge inspiration lately, and I drew this fanart of her characters Fionna and Cake from Adventure Time! I adore these two! SPARKLES!! Go check her blog out! :D
I’ve been working mostly if not entirely digital lately, and I’ve been really pleased with how easy it’s been to sketch stuff out.

Rough sketch of a drawing in progress— I’m going with the limited palette because I had a lot of fun doing that last weekly challenge.
Gawd knows, this will be crazy.
And I know if you know me, you know what the hell this is all about.

Now we’re havin’ some fun! Character design FOR THE HECK OF IT!This character design came up after some brainstorming with my friend this morning, and I came home and did a few rough sketches before coming up with this for the character.
What I’m happy with, is getting the style of the show down for a new character this quickly. Being told so, is something I’m very proud about.
“Here’s Jenny! A new coffee shop called Happy Frappé has opened up two doors down from the Frosty Mart, and one of it’s employees is on her ‘coffee break’ and she’s decided to stop in. Upon entering the mostly empty store, Jenny sees two kids in capes and masks float away from the register with giant grins on their faces, and Frosty Freezy Freeze beverages in their hands. In stark contrast to their joy, she sees the look of utter disdain on the face of the man behind the register. Jenny can’t help but try to strike up a conversation with Lenny, the Junior Manager of the Frosty Mart, and he learns he’s in good company with another employee of the customer service grind. …… could there be more for these two? Fanboy and Chum Chum is ©NickelodeonFB&CC was created by Eric Robles”
Still trying to get my scanner to read marker shading better. Left: Ink, Marker and Photoshop. Right: rough pencil sketch with ink lines.

Change of time, times have changed, Eddie. You’ve gotten a hold of my time machine. A gift for my best friend Kyle, who has taught me so much. Weird Eddie and Spacky are two of his characters, and I’ve spent a lot of time doing cleanup of rough animation with these characters.I’m in a bit of a vintage style kick right now, especially with these grayscale markers.
