This is a gift for my rad friend Zoë! She’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever known and she’s so very talented! Her style is so slick and cool that the coolest pair of sunglasses in the world weep at the fact that they are not nearly as cool as Zoë! It’s a proven fact! :D

It’s been an absolutely awesome year so far! I have so very much to be thankful for. The list is long, but here are just a few:
I’m thankful I get to work at Disney. It’s a dream come true! I’m thankful we’re moving to a new apartment in a few weeks! We’re going to be living in Burbank! It’s gonna be so rad and so close to work!
I’m thankful for my amazing boyfriend! <3
I’m also thankful for all the rad people in my life like my mum, and all of my amazing friends!
I have the most wonderful friends in the world, and I am thankful every single day for how rad they are! <3 :D

Omigosh, I have gotta share this with you all! I can’t get over how awesome this is! My super rad friend Kyle drew me this for my birfday! :D YES!!

How did you become interested in animation?
I found that interest very early on just being a kid watching what was on. I watched lots of cartoons as a kid, and I remember one specific day when I was watching some 40s Looney Tunes on the Albany UHF channel 23 (before it became a Fox affiliate) and thinking “THAT. That’s what I want to do!” I remember thinking, “Ok, I can’t draw like that, but I’ll do my closest approximation” and I made a bunch of the characters’ heads out of construction paper. That was the defining moment. I’ve never looked back.

You guys ought to check this comic out if you’ve not already done so. I’ve been assisting with backgrounds on it for heck, almost a year and a half now, and I LOVE being able to work on it! :D I’m extra fond of the BG’s in this particular one. Kyle lets me have a lot of fun with colors and such, and I’m very proud to be a part of Frog Raccoon Strawberry!

The first of the five people I want to recognize for just being so dang awesome and inspirational for me! No particular order, and there are so many more people I would love to recognize, but I don’t think I have the attention span to spotlight all of you that I would want to!
Aron Shay is, I think, one of the people that I’ve kept in touch with the longest online. My own little plot bunnies and character creations have a lot of their existence due to Aron.
I may not have had as much contact over 2011 as I would have liked, but Aron was still rooting for me through my final time at DigiPen, as well as just being awesome and available for random babbling about silly deviantArt happenings.
The best thing about having Aron on Tumblr and dA and every place else is her awesome awesome characters and IDEAS. She’s made my own characters more awesome by drawing and writing stories featuring them! So crazy.
Man, I wanted these blurbs to be more passionate and verbose, but I fear I’m just going to deviate and end this with a bunch of arm flailing and gushing like a little girl. Oh, and the affirmation that I REALLY need to physically meet Aron sometime! Sheesh.

You’re one of my awesomest online buddies, so awesome, I don’t see it as online. I imagine it like you’ve been living right down the street from me the whole time. When I need to smile, I look at the superawesome work you do, and I still let plot bunnies meander through my mind when I need some fun thinking time! Getting to see how far your work has come from when we first met, is so exciting and rewarding to see! And gawd, YOU NEED TO COME VISIT SO WE CAN GO TO THE DISNEYLAND!! :D The plot bunnies NEEEEED YOUUUUUU TO VISIT and eat Dole Whip! :D
