Drawn at Big Boy and the coffee shop Saturday night.
I believe his name will be Edwin. We came up with a name for a similar sketched character from the first page of the marker pad, but this guy seemed different from that one.
Marker paper, pencil, ink pen, and Prismacolor Markers.
The sketches are the first rounds which I drew while waiting for food, which led to the full color picture which got finished at the coffee shop :)
Edwin works some summer days at the ice cream place on First Rangeway. His favorite flavor of ice cream is chocolate vanilla swirl with rainbow jimmies on it, and his friends comment on how he smells like ice cream when he’s done his shift in the early evenings. Edwin is pretty good at remembering the favorites of some of his regular customers, including the Rickford twins, a pair of elderly and fabulous ladies who used to be an unstoppable pair on the golf circuit back in the day. Rae orders vanilla soft-serve with a hard chocolate shell, and Rue orders old fashioned scoop— chocolate chip mint, on a cone. Edwin loves to hear about the glory days from them.
